Our Mission

ChipBuddy was created to make VLSI and semiconductor physical design knowledge freely accessible to everyone — from first-year engineering students to experienced chip designers. The semiconductor industry is complex, and quality learning resources are often locked behind expensive textbooks or proprietary tools. We aim to change that.

Every chapter on ChipBuddy is written to explain not just the what but the why — the reasoning behind every design decision, the tradeoffs in every algorithm, and the practical experience that comes from working real tapeouts.
